    Question turn on service using python

    Hello,
    Is it possible to add a gp task on my web application to turn on or off a service? for instance I have a streemap service on as default when the user loads the web application but I want to add a button that turns on the aerial service and turns off the street map service.

    I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do.
    Are you trying to switch services that are currently viewed? This usually done with code in the web application itself. The services are not actually shut down.

    Avel,
    Yes I am trying to switch services that are currently being viewed. I am kind of looking for a show aerial button floating on the right had side kind of like google maps "show satellite"
