    Default Creating a ratser mask

    Hello,

I'm currently trying to create a raster mask of my study area, with the land as 0 and the water as 1. I tried the polygon to raster tool, with no success. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Nicole

If the problem is that the entire rectangle grid acts as a mask, but you want only land OR water to be the mask, reclassify the other value to NODATA. Only valid values should act as a mask.
