Areal interpolation - This new spatial interpolation technique supports the frequent need to transfer data from one set of geographic areas to a set of different geographic areas. Having this capability helps to solve a significant problem for regional analysis because the data used are often from different sources that are collected in different areal units.
Empirical Bayesian Kriging (EBK) - Kriging is an important tool in geostatistics. Empirical Bayesian Kriging differs from other kriging methods in ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst by accounting for the error introduced by estimating the underlying semivariogram. It also simplifies the workflow by requiring minimal interactive steps from the end user.
