How to label features?

Hi,

I have my arcgis web part with a base layer and a content layer coming from ArcGIS server. I want my content layer features to be labelled with one of its field values. Is this possible?

Hello,

I also tried to label my features on the local ArcGIS WMS but the labels don´t show up in the SharePoint WebMap. They show up in the preview of the WMS in ArcCatalog though.
Does someone know if labels don´t work anymore in the WebMap Parts?
Could someone from ESRI Support clarify this?

I don't think you can label features from the web part itself but if your service has been published with labels enabled they should come through in the web part.

Hello,

just to clarify.
Labeling works if you have labels in your underlying Mapservice AND you add the WMS Service as a whole. (with all the layers inside)
Labelling doesn´t work if you add the layers separately from the WMS Service.
I guess the reason for that is that a different renderer is used for the two different ways to put layers into the MapWebPart.
