    Default Terrain Processing Options

    Hello all,

I am trying to go through a tutorial on watershed delineation. I believe the tutorial was designed for ArcGIS 9.3 and the compatible version of ArcHydro. I have ArcGIS 10 on my machine and have encountered no problems so far. I did not have ArcHydro, so I just downloaded the latest version (2.0.1.133). This tutorial has steps that suggest there should be "Slope greater than 30," "Slope greater than 30 and facing North," and "Weighted flow accumulation" options on the terrain preprocessing menu. Does anyone know if these options/tools have been removed from the 2.0.1.133 version of ArcHydro, or if they are located elsewhere or named something else? I can't seem to find them. Probably not essential for what I am doing, but may be useful for future reference.

    Cheers,
    Trevor

As we are moving toward the geoprocessing environment, we have removed these functions from the toolbar because you can use out-of-the-box ArcGIS geoprocessing tools to get the same results:
    • Slope greater than 30 and Slope greater than 30 and facing North: you can use the Spatial Analyst's Con tool to set the conditions on the input slope grid.
    • Weighted flow accumulation: you can use the Spatial Analyst's Flow Accumulation tool with an input weight raster.
