    Default Copying vie bookmarks across scenes

    It would be good if in next versions it'll be possible to copy view bookmarks from one scene to another. This is especially useful if you have, say, 3 scenes which are 3 different scenarios for one development and you want to show a certain view in the 3 options. Currently I have to copy the view-bookmark specific values into the other scene, which is cumbersome.

    Cheers,

    T

    p.s. unless there's a way to do it currently which I'm not aware of

    Do you have some Python Scripting experience ? ( CityEngine Advanced features Python Scripting, Basic doesn't )

    It's not possible to directly access all bookmarks at once, but I could help you to write a script which exports the current camera info, then you could reimport it in the other scene.

    let me know ..

    A little experience with Python and quite a lot with other programming languages so I should be able to pick things up fairly rapidly.

    Would be great if you could help

    p.s. plus it would be useful to put it on the 'wish list' for the next version. One of the things our clients like is to see the same area/view with different scenarios, so you can flip between the options and see how they change - a nice presentation element to illustrate how different densities will look. So for that I need to export the exact same view for sometimes 4-5 scenes (which are variations of the same area).
