Question Visibility and Range Template support of DTED Mosaic Data Set

    Greetings,

I would like some help in figuring out how to modify the Visibility and Range Template models, which use DEM from a raster data set, to instead use DTED from a mosaic data set.

I would also like to know if the template actually generates the chart below as depicted in its blog. I didn't see an exercise in the PDF that demonstrated its creation.

    Thanks in advanced.

The Visibilty and Range template will work with mosaic datasets containing DTED. Add the mosaic dataset to the map document, open the desired tool (Highest Point for example) and pick the mosaic dataset layer from the input surface drop down.

As for the profile graph that capability was included in the latest version of the template:

    http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html...03f23d62b8a8df

Which is designed to work with ArcGIS 10.1. First you create a line of sight (using Linear Line of Sight tool). Next use the Attach Profile Graph To LLOS tool. This generates a profile graph (PNG) as an attachment to each line of sight. Use the Identify tool to view the graph by selecting the line of sight on the map.
